WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Flat Iron

  • Brush

  • Mirror

PREP:

  • If you’re using a new set of hair extensions, you won’t have much prep as these usually come with tape tabs already attached and ready to apply

  • If you’re reusing a set, remove the old tape tabs from the tape in extensions before you replace them with new tape tabs

  • After you remove the old tape tabs from the extensions, clean the residue using Big Kizzy Remover 2

  • Spray the remover onto the weft where the tape tab was and let it sit for a few seconds, then use a paper towel to wipe away the excess sticky residue

  • Gently brush your natural hair and the hair extensions before application

APPLY:

  • Start by peeling a tape tab from the sheet, line it up with the extension, and stick

  • Repeat this for each one of the extensions, leaving the white tab on until you’re ready to apply them

  • Section your hair for the first row of extensions using your temples as a guide (you can use a sectioning ring to help you get precise lines)

  • Use a mirror to make sure you’ve created a clean line for your row of extensions

  • Ensure you leave out enough hair to cover the hair extension attachment points

  • Clip up the top section of hair at the crown of your head

  • Start applying your extensions on the sides first, then work your way to the back so they’re all evenly spaced out

  • Find the right placement for the first set of extensions at least two finger widths from your hairline

  • Gently rock the extension back and forth, then grab the hair underneath that you’ll be sandwiching into the other extensions.

  • After pressing the two extensions together, use a flat iron to seal the extension adhesive with the heat

  • Repeat this process for the other side and back sections

  • Create the next row of your hair by lifting up the extensions you just put in, making sure they’re flat to your head, and using that as a guide for the next section of your hair

  • Use your clips to section up the next layers of hair

  • Leave the small pieces of hair on each side of your face in front of your ears out

  • Start placing the extensions in the second row from behind your ear on each side of your head, using one finger length back from your ear

  • Then apply the rest of the extensions on the other side and back of your head

  • Unclip your hair and brush to blend, style as desired
