We carry double-sided tape, which works best for regular to thick hair, and single-sided tape, which is ideal for those with fine or thin hair. How To Prep Hair for Tape In Extensions

Now that you have the tape, it’s time to prep the hair for tape in extensions. When you prep the hair properly, the tape will stick better, and the extensions will last as long as possible. Use our tips below to get started!
-
Wash the hair with a clarifying shampoo to remove oil and buildup.
-
Make sure the hair is completely dry before applying the extensions.
-
Brush through the hair to detangle and remove any knots.
-
Do not use any conditioners, oils, or serums before applying the tape (this can affect the adhesives and prevent them from sticking properly!).
Here’s how to re-tape your extensions to get them ready for reapplication:
How To Apply Hair Extension Tape Properly

After the hair is prepped, the next step is applying the tape in extensions using Big Kizzy tape! Apply them properly with our high-quality adhesive is crucial to get the best results. Follow these simple steps to ensure your extensions go on smoothly and stay in place for as long as possible.
-
Carefully remove one hair tape tab from the sheet, avoiding contact with the adhesive side.
-
Align and apply the tape tab to clean a hair extension weft panel.
-
Continue adding tape tabs to all the wefts before application, or apply them one by one as you go—whatever is easier for you.
-
Gather a small section of natural hair to sandwich between two wefts (too little hair can cause slippage and too much can prevent proper adhesion).
-
When you’re ready to apply, remove the paper liner from the taped extension.
-
Place the natural hair section between two taped wefts, forming your first tape in extension sandwich.
-
Ensure the wefts are aligned evenly so no adhesive is exposed.
-
Use our tape in applicator tool to press and secure the adhesive, removing any air bubbles and to prevent slippage.
-
Repeat the same process for the remaining extensions.
-
Wait at least 48 hours before washing the extensions, and be extra gentle during the first wash after application.
