How To Take Out Beaded Weft Extensions

  1. Section the hair using hair clips to keep the natural hair out of the way during removal.

  1. Find the attachment points in the hair with the small beads on the wefts.

  1. Use claw pliers to gently remove each bead, being careful not to catch the natural strands in the process.

  1. Repeat the previous step for each individual bead attachment point until all extensions have been removed.

  1. Use a wide-toothed comb to work through any tangles or knots before washing the hair.

How To Reapply Beaded Weft Extensions

  1. Section the hair and create a horizontal part along the back of the head.

  1. Clip up the natural hair and use a hair gripper to keep it in place.

  1. Pour a handful of weft extension beads into the palm of your hand.

  1. Use a looper tool and push the looped end into one of the beads.

  1. Pick up the bead and push it all the way through to the end of the tool.

  1. Continue adding more beads until you have at least two rows worth of beads for application.

  1. When you’re ready to apply your first extension, run a small lock of hair through the loop end of the tool.

  1. Move the bead up the loop tool to the root of the hair and hold it in place.

  1. Pull the loop tool away from the head, bringing the hair through the bead.

  1. Use the extension pliers to clamp the bead to keep it in place close to the scalp.

  1. Repeat this process along the entire horizontal section and again if using multiple rows.

  1. Release the top layer of hair that was clipped up and brush to blend the hair.
